Jessica, the owner of The Happy Couple Wedding Planning, truly has a gift for event planning and all aspects of weddings; she will make a marvelous resource for happy couples at every stage of planning your big day!


My wedding took place in April 2015 at Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach, California. The ceremony was held in the Rose Garden courtyard and the reception in a banquet room. Both my husband-to-be and I grew up in Illinois, so the vast majority of our 75 guests were coming in from out of town, including our very large bridal party (8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, a ring bearer, and a young 2-year-old flower girl). This made it a true destination wedding for all planning purposes, with the added considerations of facilitating hotel reservations, creating welcome bags, and providing transportation information. Even in the early days of planning, I decided right away that I wanted Jessica to be my Matron of Honour and the one helping to coordinate every step of the fun and exciting – and very challenging –process. Initially, by default I was going to choose a local venue in my hometown, although I had not looked at other options. Jessica stepped in to suggest that I at least visit a few other locations prior to making a decision. I am so glad I followed this advice! We ended up falling in love with a beach location, and we decided to have the wedding nearer to our home in California instead.


Jessica planned my entire bachelorette party and lingerie shower for the evening after my bridal shower. I had requested all of these events to take place in one day to accommodate my schedule with flying back home for a weekend, and Jessica coordinated it all – from invitations and collecting RSVPs to solidifying final details with 8 guests and 2 venues. Jessica’s efforts made every moment a seamless success, and that weekend was one of the most memorable times of my life. She is extremely organized, quick to respond to any questions or concerns of her clients and their guests, and she true eye for detail that makes every step of your wedding planning process flow together. I can truly say that my wedding events would not have been the same without her. She meticulously perfected my timeline, and her oversight of every aspect of the rehearsal made sure that my very large wedding party stayed informed and coordinated throughout the ceremony. As an example of her incredible attention to detail, Jessica even had a bottle of Static Guard ready (a factor a did not even think of) and she sprayed all 15 layers of my ball gown dress right before I walked down the aisle.


Having Jessica coordinate your wedding, whether from the beginning or just bringing together the final details, is a decision you will be glad you made - I know I was!
